Re: Clunking noise. Rear end clunk, check the leaf spring and shock mounts/brackets. Front clunk, check the ball joints, wheel bearings, tie rod ends, and shocks. (if everything but shocks checks out fine, it is probably the shocks in the front end.) Oh and check your radiator core support mounts in the front as well..
