I am aware that a few things drop the weapon poison (1) ++ so I suppose people could just be buying those and using them to make the +++ version but I'd be surprised if this is the main way it is getting into the economy? Maybe others are also collecting it from the cave but I'm just not on the same worlds so never see them.
