Haven't checked it yet, but since corpses are essentially containers, and you can burn them, why not fill another sort of container and plop it on a campfire kit? Say, load all the rotten food and such into a garbage bag, then drop it on the campfire as you would a corpse. Fire burns and takes out the garbage bag as it would a zombie corpse.

I started by setting myself to farming 10. Then, I dug 3 graves. One grave had 5 corpses, one grave had 1 corpse, and one grave had no corpses. I then filled them all, and dug furrows on top of them. I also dug another 1x2 of furrows next to them (not on top of any graves) as a control.
