Don't know why, its just what Pentair says. If all that fails, it is possible you have a brick (PA) that just doesn't work. In this case, call Pentair, and they should warranty it, and send a new one. One more thing, Pentair will not guarantee a reliable connection unless the PA is connected directly to the router.
