The POS access "mode" permissions give employees the ability to use the main modes, or functions, of the Toast POS device. Every employee who has a POS access code can sign in to a Toast POS device to access the clock in/out screen for time entry. To use Toast POS devices for any other tasks, employees must have one or more of the mode permissions.When you use multi-factor authentication, the Toast platform prompts you for a numeric code in addition to your username and password when you sign in to Toast Web as an employee. You get the code from a short message system (SMS) text message or using an authenticator application that will generate a secure code.
