Godbreaker stuff is among the best for thrall tank armor. One of the pieces, the chest plate I believe, gives +100 armor. I typically use voidforged dragon armor for my thralls. Even with just the light version, my thralls have very little problem when it comes to survivability.We have not tested it on animals, but feel free to post them here if you have the info.
