Lake Lanier: A Haunted And Tragic History. 50 miles northeast of Atlanta, in the shadows of the Blue Ridge Mountains, lies a lake that shouldn’t exist. One that draws millions of visitors each year. One that doesn’t let all of those visitors leave.
