I might be misinformed. However when I moved to WA in 1998 I went to dentist and was shocked that I had to pay 50% of charge instead of 10% like in Missouri. Called my old dentist in MO and found that insurance paid the same for the same code in WA and MO. WA dentists just charged about double of those in MO.
